The GR1 has a clean design that fits seamlessly into a cockpit or helmet mount. By keeping the design straightforward and focusing on excellent optical performance, we’ve delivered a light for all purpose use. We designed the beam with direct inspiration from the game changing performance of our flagship MB6 light. It creates great nighttime vision and smooths out harsh transitions to eliminate eye strain and blind spots, while minimizing glare for other trails users, pedestrians or drivers. Whether you are running a single light or a bar and helmet combination, the GR1 delivers premium performance at a great value.

Full On Optical DNA
Our custom beam design fills the road, path or trail with smooth and even light, allowing you to read changing surfaces better, ride safer, and enjoy the ride with confidence.
Drawing on our commercial outdoor lighting design experience, we avoid the generic, round spot beams common in bike lights. Instead, we engineered the light for better rider vision. The GR1 projects a wide, uniform beam pattern that enhances peripheral awareness, illuminating road shoulders, trail edges, and immediate foreground hazards simultaneously. This uniformity removes the disorienting tunnel vision effect and drastically reduces the eye fatigue common on long night commutes and dark backroads.
The GR1 has also been engineered with a horizontal anti-glare cutoff line, shaping the beam to avoid blinding oncoming drivers, pedestrians, or fellow riders.
Refined All-Purpose Simplicity
The GR1 features a simple, illuminated button with low, medium and high modes allowing you to quickly adjust to the terrain. For urban commuting, a 2 second press activates the Daytime Flash Mode. Emitting an irregular, pulsing 500-lumen pattern, it cuts through busy daytime clutter to keep you highly visible to traffic.
Compact, Robust, and Versatile Design
Weighing 160 grams, the self-contained GR1 houses a high capacity 5000mAh battery, so no cables are required. The GR1 is designed for long term durability, featuring a CNC machined aluminum body optimized for structural robustness and thermal performance.
To ensure everyday convenience, the GR1 utilizes universal modern standards. We use USB-C connectivity for simple, fast charging. Additionally, the light comes standard with a no tool slide on/off handlebar mount and an action camera adapter to make a suite of mounting accessories available.
As a final detail, we etched the trails of our local Jordie Lunn Bike Park into the side of the light as a shout out to our roots and the tough testing environment we put the GR1 through.
