from 28 reviewsCustomer service was great, the lights, super high end, will do it all over again next year, hope to see you there
I've tried all kinds of lighting setups over the years—usually a big flood light on the handlebars and a smaller one on my helmet. That’s always been my go-to combo... until now. I recently switched to just running the MB6 on my helmet, and honestly, I’m blown away.
The light dispersion is amazing. It perfectly lit up the trail right by my front wheel during technical sections and gave me great peripheral visibility, while also casting far enough ahead so I could see everything coming at speed. That balance of close-up and distance lighting gave me way more confidence—and let me ride faster than I ever did with my old setup.
Thanks Full On Lighting.
I used Full On Lighting MB6 for a night race and I'm convinced the strength and brightness was the reason I got a decent time. The MB6 lite the trail like it was daytime instead of 5am and filled me with confidence to ride full on, thank you!
Light provides excellent visibility. Great depth and breadth to light.
I managed to give the MB6 a test ride during this year's 24 Hour of Summer Solstice, and was overall really impressed by the light quality! Did a great job of diffusing light into a usable pattern and put the beam exactly where I needed it. Battery life was excellent too. Loved the Active adapting mode that kept the light at the right level regardless of speed. I'm in love!!
I'll reiterate the headline, this is the best overall headlight on the market.
Nothing can exceed it currently, not even a repurposed 1 or 2in Automotive off-road pod.
The beam pattern is very uniform and diffused. It's massive beam width/spread, more than your magicshine Monteer 8000 and your Outbound Trail Evo.
It's a flat beam like your outbound Evo. It does NOT have a round beam with a centered bullseye hotspot like your Magicshine or virtually every other light on the market.
It also has massive beam throw/distance, something other flat beam pattern lights lack.
Perceived brightness is excellent, you're not wishing you had more, nor is it too bright to cause trail detail washout or blow back.
This light has literally every good beam attribute without needing a secondary light to pickup the slack.(I'd still mount an emergency backup light though such as a king Kong 6 series ray)
For the price, you get your $$$$ worth. It'll be less expensive than the popular Outbound DH or portal package, yet outperform it..heck ad a night rider 1100 boost to add throw and now you have a 3 light setup that'll underperform the MB6!
I've tested so many brand lights over the years it's sad yet fun to document and compare.
Again, I don't know of a light that can put so it in beam width nor beam spread..
I can't wait for their future products!
Do yourself a favor and get an MB6.
Rarely is a product BETTER than advertised but the first time you ride with the MB6 will be a game changer. Instead of the generic, high intensity focal point used by lighting competitors the MB6 simply turns nighttime into day, completely eliminates darkness and shadows, and gives confidence to take your riding up to another level. Responsive Customer Service, an incredible advance in technology combined with pricing below any other high-line product I’ve found makes MB6 the undisputed winner
Makes riding at night feel much more natural. No more spot searching. I noticed the difference mostly on twisty windy trails. The amount of light is insane and the laws of physics require that some of the energy needs to turn into heat. This requires proper mechanical design for optimal heat transfer. If you are nerdy enough to admire the beauty of a piece of machined aluminum you will love the light.
It's great, I really love how light and bright it is. The wide field of view is a great feature as well
Wow. Light was awesome last night. At one point deep in to the rode I asked the guys if my light was brighter than theirs. They laughed and said oh yeah.
I couldn’t see any of my 2600 lumen bar light at all.
It was great! The light is a massive improvement over my existing setup
These lights are very impressive. Light weight, very bright & only needed a light on my helmet. The “active” mode works so good!!
This is incredible. Oh my god. This is like opening up a complete new world of mountain biking
As someone who first purchased a premium LED headlamp back in 2002, I can objectively say the MB6 is an absolute quantum leap forward in outdoor night performance. Gone are the days of a single focused hot spot of light in the distance.
This revolutionary bike light is British Columbia based with cutting-edge LEDs, phenomenal intelligence, impressive battery life, and is a serious upgrade for mountain bikers tackling night rides. It delivers unparalleled brightness, lighting up beckoning ribbons of single track with impressive clarity and illuminates every root, rock, and twist like never before. Safety gets a solid boost thanks to its wide, far-reaching beam extending well into your peripheral vision, giving you the confidence to ride in the dark without hesitation. Plus, it opens up year-round riding options, from winter nights to late-season sessions, with ease. It’s not just a light—it’s a practical game-changer for anyone serious about adventuring after the sun goes down
