Launching Summer 2024
At Full On Lighting our number one goal is to make riding more fun for everyone. After years of riding with lights that either weren't bright enough, or didn't light enough of the area, we decided it was time for something better.
Coming from decades in the commercial solar outdoor lighting world we're bringing a fresh perspective to bike lighting. By combining purpose built optics, and smart energy management we've built a product that allows the rider to see better, ride faster, and have more fun.
Our Team
Sean grew up on Vancouver Island. With a lifelong passion for cycling, particularly mountain biking, Sean is stoked to combine his love for outdoor adventure with his professional skills.
As the founder and former CEO of a solar-powered outdoor lighting company, Sean led his team in developing sustainable technology, leading the company to become one of Canada's fastest-growing companies for seven years in a row. Sean exited this business after 14 years to pursue Full On.
Sean has over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry, and a passion for building products that simply perform better. Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Sean is a father of four and serves on several professional boards in Victoria.
Scott Macdonald
When Scott was growing up his family moved all over Canada, from the maritimes, to the prairies, to beautiful Vancouver Island. Scott first picked up a mountain bike while living in Victoria when he was 14 years old and has been a lover of the outdoors ever since.
Scott brings over 20 years of experience in the lighting industry to the team at Full On. Ranging from managing manufacturing, supply chain, and design, Scott's done it all. In his free time you can find him hiking near his home in the Cowichan Valley, or camping with his family.
Jason is a Professional Engineer based in beautiful British Columbia. With a PhD in Engineering specializing in Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Robotics, he’s spent the last 5 years diving deep into the world of lighting, LEDs, and optics.
With over 15 years of experience in product design, Jason thrives on bringing innovative ideas to life. When he’s not tinkering in the lab, you'll probably find him cruising around town on his bike or spending time with his two adorable daughters.
Iris Gillies
Iris is a more recent transplant to Vancouver Island. After growing up in Alberta she was drawn to the Pacific Northwest mostly by her love for sailing and the outdoors. In 2018 she made the decision to leave a successful real estate career and make the move out west.
Since the move she’s been honing her skills in sales and account management in the outdoor lighting industry. In her spare time you can usually find her playing golf, racing sailboats, or hanging out with her dog and best friend, Bud.
